Kladd combines a hand-drawn canvas with editable controls, 4,622 icons, shapes you design yourself and AI that draws beside you — in a proper Mac window with a toolbar, Pages and Library on the left, and Properties on the right. Bring your FigJam boards and Balsamiq projects with you. Keep drawings as local files and present or export your work. Free during beta; €79 for a lifetime licence when the paid version launches.

What it does
Sketch ideas quickly
Diagrams and flowcharts with arrows that stay attached. Press + for Quick Add: type a shape, control or icon and it lands where you point.
Editable wireframes
Phones, browsers, buttons, tables, tabs, menus and charts, edited as text. Properties shows only the settings each control has; drag a selection out as PNG or SVG.
4,622 icons, one search
One combined hand-drawn catalogue. Icons are vector shapes you can recolour and resize.
My shapes
Describe a new control or flowchart shape and the AI writes it as a short, readable definition. Tweak it, preview it, use it anywhere; placed copies follow your changes.
AI on your canvas
Claude Code or ChatGPT (Codex) in the sidebar (A) on your own subscription. Attach images and PDFs, watch it draw, undo anything.
Pages, animation and presenting
Every frame is a page (1), with animation steps (3) and full-screen presenting (⇧P). Export to PDF, PNG or SVG.
Import FigJam and Balsamiq
Open .jam boards, .bmpr projects and .bmml wireframes as editable drawings. Formatting can differ, so keep your originals.
Works with your agents
A local MCP server lets your own agents read and edit drawings and check screenshots, without taking over the tab you're on.
A home for your drawings
Tabs, folders, favourites and search, with undo on the Dashboard. Offline, in the open .excalidraw format.
Made for Mac
Native menus, light and dark mode, Zen and View mode, and shortcuts that work on any keyboard layout (⇧H lists them). Apple silicon, signed and notarized.
